AMS 350Z / G35 Adjustable Short Shifter

Adjustability is nice, but the plastic really isn’t strong enough for the application.

Feels sloppy when putting it in gears

Feels cheaply made and the stopper for reverse is made out of plastic compared to the oem metal prong making it go farther to the right in Neutral than it should and the bushing on the bottom is wider than oem making it difficult to put in and make the collar fit over it to connect it with the transmission I’m not sure if I got a manufacture defect or what happened with it but overall disappointing

Not particularly necessary but you can instantly feel the difference once installed and once "broken into" after a few pulls and cruising around, this feels crisp, highly recommend. Only thing that concerns me is the fifth gear shifting grind but I did my research and I figured that out, turned out not being this product causing the grinding so worth it if you think you need it.

Garbage... does not lock shifter moves while driving and goes all the way down when trying to put in reverse

Product shifts shorter definetly does what it says it will do. Good product for the price. I would like to note two things though that I'm suprised the others did not mention. I installed this myself rather than a shop. Neither of these problems are z1's they are from ams Issue one was the 2 large orings were way to big. With them pushed in the grove there was like an extra inch. I had to push it down in there then cut a piece out about a inch of both rings. No big problem but was suprised to see that. Issue number 2 was the 2 white washers supplied that install at the bottom. It is impossible (atleast working from the inside of the car not under) to get the bottom with the washers to go into the fork. Washers supplied were too large. Even comparing to the stock one it was very noticeable. Had to take some high grit sand paper too both of them and sand a good bit off. Hopefully this will help someone who had the washer situation like i did. Overall seems like a good product so far shifts are a lot better

Installed it in my 350z best upgrade yet makes shifting so much more easy to drive thanks Z1

Great upgrade! Installs in an hour our less, a novice could do. The shorter positions definitely make it easier and faster going through the gears.
