They are very low dust and low noise w/OE designed composite shims to reduce pad vibration and squeal while being easy on rotors.  Posi-Quiet pads offer better performance than typical low-dust pads allowing you to give up the dust without giving up the performance. 

Ceramic pads offer an even friction level while offering minimal dust.
