The OEM plastic coated latch catchers that the Z32 Convertible top hooks are cracking and breaking with age.   The problem with this is that without anything secure for the top hooks to latch on to, the top can fly up at speed.  This is not only a scary experience but usually a very costly one. 

Even though virtually all the orginal latch catchers are cracked or cracking on the Z32 convertibles, resulting in a potentially dangerous situation, Nissan is no longer producing this part new and they are currently not available from the dealer.

We've stepped in and had this part produced so that Z32 convertible owners can avoid having this serious problem.

This is for (1) latch catcher. Each car requires (2). The pieces are the same for the right and left sides.
