(1) Stud that screws into the discharge side of the turbine (turbo exhaust) housing that connect to the downpipe. This stud is made from a special alloy to hold up to the extreme conditions at the turbine housing.
Z32 stock turbos have two of these studs with nuts and two bolts that connect the turbine housing to the pre-cat. When upgrading a Z32 to larger turbos with a 5 bolt exhaust flange you will need an extra stud and nut or an extra bolt.
