Z1 Upgraded Hatch Struts are a great solution for your old worn out ones. These high quality kits are now available in 2 different strengths Level 1 High Pressure (LHP) or Mega High Pressure (MHP) upgraded replacements.
Each kit includes a new pair of upgraded hatch struts with retainer locks.
No Cutting required! Install in minutes, just use a small flat head screwdriver to lift the retaining lock on the original struts socket ends and pull the end free (make sure you have the hatch safely supported).
Once you have one strut removed start by installing the lower end first, simply snap it into place and install the lock pin.
The final step is to align the top socket over the ball stud and snap it into place, just rinse and repeat for the other side and you are done. You won't have to worry about your hatch not lifting on its own or worse the hatch falling on your head anymore.
The Level 1 High Pressure (LHP) units are great for almost every application, they are a little stronger than the originals and will support most aftermarket spoilers or just be strong for a standard application. The upgrade to the Mega High Pressure (MHP) units offer maximum added lift support for the Largest heavier aftermarket spoilers, or just a workout for those looking for it.

*Please note; These hatch struts are stronger and intended as an upgrade to the stock units, not just a standard replacement. Upgraded LHP hatch struts will require a little more effort to close the hatch if a heavier spoiler is not in place, while MHP units will require a notable amount of effort to close the hatch if a heavier spoiler is not in place.
