The Z1 High Flow Intake Upgrade for Z1 Cold Air Intakes adds larger filters and velocity stacks which allow for better airflow producing even more power gains than the intakes alone. This upgrade has produced 6+ RWHP consistently on several Z's with dyno tune. As you can see from the dyno graph below, this upgrade produces more horsepower and torque across the entire RPM range.

Z1 High Flow Intake Filters are larger in diameter than the filters originally included with your intake. They also have an inverted cone in the center constructed of filter material where the original filters are blocked off. The large diameter and inverted cone provide more filter surface area allowing an increase in available airflow.
Z1 High Flow Velocity Stacks provide a contour for the increased airflow to enter the intake tract. This contour in addition to the inverted cone in the filter helps direct the air flow into the tube allowing the least amount of turbulence to occur. This equates to the most even flow of fresh air into your engine maximizing the potential of your cold air intake.

This upgrade requires the modification of the aluminum crash bar. Details on the modification necessary are outlined in the installation manual: 350Z Installation Manual, 370Z Installation Manual
Z1 offers this modification as an option below. If you choose the modification option, you must send in the bar to be modified. We will not send your order out until we receive and modify your core. This process could take up to 10 business days to complete once your core is received.
DO NOT operate your vehicle with this bar removed. The aluminum crash bar provides SAFETY, structure, and support for the front of your vehicle.
