Product Description
The OEM plastic coated latch catchers that the Z32 Convertible top hooks are cracking and breaking with age. The problem with this is that without anything secure for the top hooks to latch on to, the top can fly up at speed. This is not only a scary experience but usually a very costly one.
Even though virtually all the orginal latch catchers are cracked or cracking on the Z32 convertibles, resulting in a potentially dangerous situation, Nissan is no longer producing this part new and they are currently not available from the dealer.
We've stepped in and had this part produced so that Z32 convertible owners can avoid having this serious problem.
This is for (1) latch catcher. Each car requires (2). The pieces are the same for the right and left sides.

First off, thank you z1 for reproducing these very important pieces for our verts! I very important issue that should be disclosed and isn't, the thread holes are a different pitch so you can't use the original bolts. The oem bolts are 8mm x 1.25.. 8mm x 1.00 is replacement z1 units thread. You may want to mention this in the ad to warn future buyers. Thanks.

I had no idea how shot these parts were on my car until the replacements arrived. Definitely something all convertible Z32 owners should consider.
