This cast aluminum adapter fits into the upper radiator hose and is threaded with either 1/8" BSPT, 1/8" NPT or 3/8" NPT port to accommodate most aftermarket coolant temperature sensors.  

Allows you to install a coolant temperature sending unit for an aftermarket gauge or a thermostatatic switch without having to drill and tap your existing metal pipes.  Our design allows install into the curved portion of the upper radiator hose for a perfect fit.  Simply cut and trim the upper radiator hose and install this adapter in-line.  Includes the two additional clamps you'll need.

See options below to select the appropriate thread pitch.   Autometer gauges and many thermostatatic switches have a sending unit with a 1/8" NPT (27) thread pitch.  Most of the gauges and electronics made Japan including Defi, Greddy, Apex-i, HKS have sending units with a 1/8" BSPT (28) thread pitch. Spal Thermostatic Fan Switches sold here at Z1 are 3/8" NPT (18).

Does this come with an insert or plug so that you can plug it off if you are getting a sensor at a later date?

Response: It does not standard but if you need one just call in and one of our reps can sell you a plug with it to ship together.

Hi, I bought the z1 radiator hose kit and I want to buy one of these to fit a water temp sensor. Firstly, which size one will I need considering I have the z1 silicone hoses? Secondly, will I lose any coolant during the install, and if so should I just flush the system?

Response: Richard, This will work great with the Z1 Silicone hose. You will need to cut a section of the existing hose to make room for this adapter and you will more than likely loose a little coolant because you will have to cut that hose all the way through twice. Regards, Austin I.
