ARP VQ L19 Head Studs
The L19 head stud upgrade comes with Studs, Washers, and Bolts for a complete installation. No Modification to your cylinder head or block is required as these are a direct drop-in replacement for the OEM head stud! The L19 upgrade has greater clamping force than the upgraded head stud kit that ARP developed in the past and over 1000psi more clamping force than standard ARP Head Studs. They are made of aerospace alloy that is also used in Funny Car and Top Fuel Dragsters. With a yield strength of 230,000psi and a tensile strength of 260,000psi these will hold the high horsepower numbers you put down with your VQ35 engine. ARP has held in excess of 1400rwhp with the L19 design in many different applications.

Unlike the venerable Z32, the OEM main studs on the VQ35DE are not strong enough to handle the extra demands placed on them by a Forced Induction kit. There are many important reasons to use ARP main stud kits, including the elimination of main cap walk and fretting, as well as protecting the threads in your engine block.
The studs are manufactured in ARP's own factory using the best materials, processes, designs and engineering. Every ARP main stud kit exceeds the most stringent aerospace specifications. All kits come complete with hardened parallel-ground washers and aerospace quality nuts. The studs are manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel, heat-treated by ARP in-house to 190,000 psi tensile strength, and precision J-form threads rolled after heat-treat to create a fastener that has threads 1000% stronger than others. Don't settle for anything less than the best.
