Product Description
Higher tensile strength and longer (additional thread engagement) MR16DDT Head Bolts from the Nissan Juke. These bolts can be used on VQ35DE/HR and VQ37VHR engines as upgraded budget head bolts when doing your rebuild. Due to the length, you will need to tap the holes of the engines slightly farther so these bolts do not bottom out and provide improper torque readings. You can reuse the washers from your original bolts although you will need to cut the old bolt to remove them, or you can choose the optional ARP washer set from the Available Options dropdown.
Sold as a Set of 16.

I am curious if the VQ35DE block still needs to be tapped when using the arp washer set. I am only replacing my headgaskets so the motor will be assembled otherwise. This makes me think I will not be able to tap the block further or run the risk of metal shavings getting into the oil/coolant areas. If this is the case, I will use VQ35HR head bolts instead.

The Z1 ARP specific washers will allow the bolts to work without having to tap the block.

Used on my boosted vq37hr stock bottom end hybrid. About 3 more threads of bite, no bottom tapping needed and no extra washers needed. Nice no cost small upgrade using these.
