Our custom Wiseco piston features design characteristics based on our own specifications to make these pistons the best of the best in performance at an unheard of price.  We use Wiseco pistons exclusively in our own performance rebuilds due to their high level of quality control and their world renowned excellence as a performance piston manufacturer.  Most OEM pistons have pin offset to keep the piston quiet. Only Wiseco does this with forged pistons.

Complete with rings, wrist pins & locks, and specification sheets, these pistons come in a standard 8.8:1 Compression Ratio or 11.0:1 Compression Ratio.

Wiseco Armor Plating

In order to provide the best quality piston Z1 has opted to include Wiseco's ArmorPlating and ArmorGlide coating on all shelf stock pistons FREE OF CHARGE. This is not a standard service! Most pistons and rebuild kits on the market choose a cheaper raw uncoated piston (pictured below) to save on kit cost.

Wiseco's ArmorPlating is a proprietary surface coating used primarily for piston ring blow-by reduction, friction reduction, and detonation resistance. The reduced rotational friction offered by the ArmorPlating is a real benefit in the piston pin bore. The blow-by reduction comes as a result of a better “fit” between the rings and the ring grooves. It significantly improves the lower edge sealing of the top ring groove, maintaining a very low amount of blow-by for a long time, compared to an uncoated groove. As an added benefit, it also eliminates microwelding of the top ring groove. Read more about Wiseco's coating HERE.

Custom and special order pistons do not include this coating standard. They are RAW and receive no special coatings on the skirt or piston surface. If this is desired, please contact us prior to ordering.
