The Z1 Motorsports Nissan 350z / G35 Y-Pipe Back Single Exhaust was designed for the all out racer wanting to reduce weight and maximize exhaust flow, unleashing full power potential across the entire power band. The specialized muffler design produces a clean exhaust note superior to many similarly designed exhausts. The mandrel bend in the rear section guarantees optimal flow without restrictions that that you'll find with other crush bent single exits. Included slip style muffler hanger allows the user to make fine adjustments to the muffler section for precise fitment.
This exhaust is LOUD, but with the newly included dual stage silencer the exhaust volume can be changed within minutes with basic hand tools, making early morning escapes to the race track an easy feat to achieve without waking your easily disturbed neighbor.
The Z1 Single Exhaust weighs only 19.2lbs, approximatly 26.8lbs lighter than stock! (46lbs stock)

Is this a good application for none turbo Z ?
Absolutely, we use this on many naturally aspirated track cars for max power with minimal weight.

Sorry Daniel, unfortunately because of the design and placement of several underbody components on the G35 Sedan, the M-Spec will not fit.

This exhaust is designed to work with the factory Y-Pipe, so you can install it on your stock G without needing any other components. It will replace the entire exhaust system just back from the y-pipe and is very simple to install.

Sounds great and fits like a glove! My only gripe is that the extension pipe hits my subframe rail and makes a rattling noise. What could I do to fix that?

Going with this exhaust has been one of my best decisions on my build. When I bought my Z it had an ISR Single Exit and the sound was ok for the first few years of ownership. As I kept doing more improvements and mods on the car I decided it was time to go for a different exhaust. One of the reasons was the weight factor, the ISR system is HEAVY for a single exit, and the other reason was purely for a more raw exhaust tone. My Z has 1320 headers, test pipes, Z1 Y Pipe paired to the M Spec. Man, the sound is insanely good, very raw and loud under load. Installation was a breeze and fitment was spot on, did a bumper tuck and I have no burning on the bumper. Only issue I encountered was a bit of rattle since part of the exhaust rests on top of the W brace. All in all, awesome quality, great sound and easy installation.

Super easy direct bolt on. It is LOUD! I use the "silencer" most of the time. Super bummed I bought this right before the spring sale. Could have gotten the Y pipe as well for 50 more dollars.

* 2 week review *
After having the exhaust now on for the last 2 weeks I can officially say this is the best bang for buck exhaust on the market. It sounds so good at those high and low rpms. If you’re an even little bit mechanically inclined to your vehicle it should only take you about an hour to 2 hours with the proper tools. I even got the exhaust within 3 days with only paying for the standard shipping as well. Everything was included and it’s super easy to take off the silencer (which I recommend doing). 10/10 will be buying from Z1 again!

Paired up with berk test pipes and isr y pipe this exhaust is LOUD but does sound good. No frills just a simple polished muffler, super easy install. One thing that is a plus is the silencer, it really does work if you need to be low key.

Purchased for g35. I love this exhaust. G35 kit comes with extension pipe. Had to get a longer exhaust for rear. Sounds great. Not loud while cruising. Only loud when on throttle. Paired with z1 y pipe. I love it. Would give it 5 stars if rear hanger was an inch longer.

Nice tone in my opinion, gets a little bit of rasp, but not an obnoxious amount, and I only notice that on cold mornings. It is louder though so keep that in mind. Hahaha

So I have a few things to say, 1 it sounds amazing! Idk if it adds power but it definitely does something for my appreciation of the car. The style of the exhaust and how it is so high flow and the sound being so deep just makes me wonder how the z1 team made a really good exhaust so simple. Now the reason I gave it a 4 star rating wasn't because I did anything wrong or anything happened, but it tends to rattle on the w-brace. It is only when I pull out of the drive way so it's not that big a deal but would love a way to mitigate the rattle. I installed it exactly the way the manual said but the rattle is off putting just a bit. But other than that it is great and it's road legal in California too so it should be a 4.5 star. Great work z1!

Quality: 9.5/10, very light weight, welds were impressive to say the least, flowed together very well no leaks
Looks: 10/10, looks amazing
Sound: 9.5/10, my car is stock besides intake and this z1 mid pipe/muffler set up, sounds and displays the loud and proud vq, with no rasp, plenty of backfires!
fitment: 8/10, the pipes fit to oem y pipe perfect but the fitment to the bumper is off, and the only way i could get it to work without melting my bumper was to shave down and make a bigger hole on my bumper for the exhaust, which is fine and looks great and unnoticeable if you do it right, rather not have cut my bumper but it needed to be done.
This sounds and looks better than tomei IMO, if your still thinking about buying, order this mf, no regrets here at all

Just put this on my 2008 350 today. This exhaust sounds WICKED on the vq35hr crazy good tone and LOUD with stock y pipe. This is by far the best product you can get especially at the price it is at this is amazing

Not as loud as I thought it was gonna be but it still sounds amazing! Has a nice deeper tone to it. Had to buy a longer exhaust hanger because it started melting my bumper but besides that it’s a great exhaust.

Put it on my 07 G35 coupe. Sounds great especially when driving at higher rpms but does sound a bit dry when at lower rpms. Other than that it looks great on the car and makes good sound overall.

this is honestly the best exhaust I've heard for G35's.... it sounds very deep, drone is minor compared to any other exhaust, but with that being said, drone is inevitable with these cars after market exhausts, however this one is very minor... and my favorite part is that its quiet when you want it to be, and loud when you step on it and also another very cool thing that I was very critical on when trying to find my perfect exhaust is the classic "VQ trumpet sound" and this one thankfully does not sound like a trumpet at all! which is why I went with this z1 singe exit setup.... all in all, im very happy that I waited and when the this exhaust.
Also, I went on a road trip just a few day after I got my exhaust and the silencer that they give you came in very handy!

4/5. I love this exhaust. WAY cheaper than Tomei and has less bend than it. Which means, MORE POWER! I give it a 4 though due to fitment. It can be a slight struggle on clearance but works fine.

I wanted to keep my car stock but I knew I could make it “breath” more. I was expecting a little change in sound and airflow but man I was wrong. This exhaust definitely made the size sound cleaner, increased the speed, and just overall a great product for a z.

Just installed today on my g35. Had to do a little modification on the hanger so it wouldn’t hit the bumper. Other than that it sounds awesome. It also took no time to install.

Just installed today. The fitment was terrible. I had to cut the bumper up in order for the can to fit properly.
I have this exhaust paired with the z1 test pipes and it’s deafening lol. I would definitely not recommend this set up for a daily driver. Sounds awesome until your ears go numb.
If you have stock cats than you’ll be fine.

I haven’t really received the exhaust yet but I’ve heard nothing but positive reviews. I’ve been searching for a perfect exhaust for like 2 years constantly. YouTube videos, price, quality, sound, I didn’t know if I wanted single or dual, you name it! Finally concluding it with the z1 M-spec for my Z, I’m starting to see I made the correct decision. It wasn’t hard to find videos on YouTube about this exhaust on a 350z, so clearly it’s a good exhaust if it’s sold a lot. I was very very impressed with the purchase process time to getting ready for shipping. I placed my order today, 7 hours later I had a tracking number, it was ready to be shipped out. Typically you would have waited 1-3 days after placing your order before the payment is received, approved, and shipping label made, Z1 MS had it done in 7 HOURS MY GUY! THATS AWESOME!!!! 5/5 stars, I’m already impressed.. Now the price for the exhaust And Shipping to Canada, British Columbia was so cheap. I’m impressed with overall everything so far with Z1 motor sports, I haven’t even received the exhaust yet... keep it up 100%.

This thing is looooooud at first up to like 2,800 rpms its a bit raspy but after that it sounds sooo good i got the Y pipe as well to go with this exhaust. Next thing ima get is some motordyne art pipes to quiet it down just a bit and have a deeper tone 100% recommended this exhaust.

Loud!
But the good kind of loud. I'm running stock cats, Resonated Motordyne XYZ pipes, and this exhaust. Once it breaks in, it's just the right amount of loud where it's not painful at freeway speeds nor does it cause unwanted attention. Living in CA I was worried about the exhaust laws here. But not too concerned anymore. If you have ANY type of test pipes along with this exhaust, this is your warning it will be VERY loud.
Used a decibel meter and measured to CA Standards. At WOT you're looking at about 125dB. At around 4k rpms its around 105dB. So yes its above CA standards.
Also last thing, this exhaust is NOT mandrel bent anymore, it does have only 1 "bend" but it's an angle cut and welded . I was a little but disappointed it's not 1 piece. But it doesn't effect form/fit/function.
Still a great exhaust!

I live in canada and this exhaust cause me $970 but it’s worth every single penny. I roll up to school and it sets of all the alarms on the cars it’s hallirious I love this exhaust it has such a nice deep tone definitely worth it 100% don’t underestimate this exhaust because it’s insanely loud but sounds so amazing

I am in love with this exhaust! I've had it for almost a year and at first, I was happy about receiving it with a silencer but to this day I have not even used it because the tone is deep but really nice sounding. By far the best exhaust I've seen compared to other competitors.

DO NOT underestimate when they say this product is LOUD. The videos you find on youtube for this y-back do not do it justice. Install was fairly simple but I still wish it came with instructions. Overall, great piece of equipment and absolutely recommend if you want an aftermarket exhaust that wont ruin that VQ sound.

I LOVE this exhaust. It enhances the signature VQ sound and is the right amount of LOUD. The whole system is excellent quality and installation was a breeze.
The silencer is a nice addition too and makes a difference, but I don't see myself using it much :)

This exhaust is mean! I never put the silencer on because I'm a bit of a purist, but the quality is there. . . Someone thought about the flexibility of blending the desired look of the exhaust with the shear growl of a throaty free flowing exhaust. I mean, this dang thing only has one bend in it! I will admit, that it was a tiiiight fit, but anyone that knows anything about cars can get a proper fit. Other than having my wife take off so I can hear it (so good), I like to do a little blip when downshifting and hear the pops and burble of the exhaust. Why? Because RACECAR!

THE BEST aftermarket exhaust you can get as a y-pipe back for the price for the Z. The sound of a VQ engine is very unique, and this exhaust keeps that sound, but gives it balls! I picked this up on black Friday this year and I must say, this is amazing quality and the result you get for a stock Z is amazing. Great sound, great performance, super low price. It's everything I was looking for. 100% recommended to anyone looking to upgrade without having to buy a full system yet.

Picked this up over black friday weekend: simply fantastic. I've paired it with the Motordyne XYZ pipe with resonator section, still with stock catalytic converters. With this set up the noise is definitely manageable below 4000 RPM even without the included silencer in. Startups and low RPM its incredibly deep and screams at high RPM. There is some drone between 2000-2500 RPM, but only with the accelerator down in 5th or 6th gear - you basically have to intentionally make it drone. Soon as you're cruising within that range without extra gas it goes away. Note it is loud over 4000 RPM - if you want attention you'll get it. B just don't be a jerk to your neighbors and floor it through your neighborhood and you'll be fine.
I've had it installed for two days and already got a positive comment from another Z owner. Installation was easy (no instructions, but seriously its like three pieces figure it out). Hardest part was getting the stock exhaust off.
I was thrilled to run errands today after work, just to hear it rumble around town.
100% would recommend. 5/5.

At first I'll be honest I was nervous about sound and even quality of such an affordable exhaust.. HOWEVER I'm beyond happy with my decision. This exhaust sounds perfect it brings life out of the engine of the car. Everything came in my packaging no issues along the way thank you guys so much!!

Wow that's really all that can be said. The sound of this exhaust is intoxicating. Warning with high flow cats and xyz pipes this exhaust is extremely loud just how it should be. Installation is easy, however it took me awhile and a couple spacers on the rear hanger to get the space from muffler tip to bumper at a safe distance.

The single exit along with the cat delete y-pipe is hands down one of the very best, pure VQ sounding exhaust ever made. Exhaust fits 98% perfectly which is better than my previous exhaust. Simple install although instructions would have helped with the new exhaust mount provided, but I was able to figure it out once I had most of it assembled under the vehicle. Would give a 5 "star" rating, but I did not receive gaskets or mounting hardware for the y pipe on the end that bolts up to the headers. Luckily my old hardware was still fairly new and was able to reuse it.
