Product Description
Z1 Motorsports VQ Performance Headers are constructed with 1 3/4" 16 gauge 304 stainless steel with 3/8" flanges to prevent warping. The use of back purge TIG welding and mandrel bends creates the strongest headers with the most efficient airflow. They feature equal length runners and merge style collectors for increased scavenging. The materials and craftsmanship are impeccable. Z1 headers are the nicest headers available for your VQ Powered Z.
NOTE: These headers are built to be a direct bolt on to the VQ35DE, however they can be used on 07+ VQ35HR and VQ37VHR engines with the use of Stock DE Catalytic Converters, High Flow Cats, or Test Pipes, optional below.
If you have a VQ37 or VQ35HR you will need additional manifold to cat gaskets as an option below. VQ35DE's can reuse your current gaskets or purchase a new set if needed.

The inside of the runners are smoothed for optimal flow and the merge collector is one of the best on the market.
Will not fit AWD G35X or G37X models.
These have been found to not fit RHD models without modification to clear the steering knuckle. We will not guarantee fitment with RHD.

AWD cars have clearance issues due to the motor mount brackets.

Does it fit a g37s sedan?
Yes, this will fit Rear Wheel Drive model G37 or G37S.
Please keep in mind the need to use a "DE" style Cat or Test Pipe.

Extremely well made and thick, very nice welds, and it looks like it'll hold together well. Everyone said these are a pain to install, so I had a friend who knows how to do it, install them for me. After watching him do it, they really weren't as hard as I thought, so if you have plenty of tools at home, you can do it yourself by watching youtube videos and more. I paired these with their catless test pipes, Invidia Gemini exhaust, and Z1 carb legal intakes and with an automatic, made 327 to the wheel. I've always had some trans issues so I bet with a new trans I would make even more with less loss in the trans. I will say, there is some weird 'hiss' to these headers that sometimes drives me nuts because I thought it was a leak, but after realizing that its just their sound, it doesn't bother me much anymore. With my UpRev tune, I'm now shooting some massive flames.

Awesome headers, I have chosen these to change my long tubes that caused bad idle, now wirh this Z1 product it's working great. I ceramic coated it and wrapped before installing.

06' DE with Tomei test pipes, y pipe, and muffler.
I really enjoyed the tomei set up and the headers made it much more higher pitch and almost sounds like something is rattling. Prefer how it sounded with stock headers but I prefer the additional power. (Tomei headers have been on backorder for too long)

Right fit on the 370Z. Right up on the steering “U” joint. Required changing one of the exhaust studs to a bolt. Makes great power.

Amazing this is a no brainer I coupled this ones with the isr resonated test pipes.
Also added ark catback exhaust and my car power is amazing.
My friend used to bully me with his scatpack after this modds we re-run our cars and my 370z left us speachless.
He sold his car after that.

worth every penny. from the tig welds to the collector...the quality is insane!
however it will change the tone of your exhaust, taking away the unique VQ sound, which should be expected with changing from oem UEL to aftermarket EL. just don’t forget to pair these headers up with a great tuner.

I wanted to chime in on these as there is only one review and most people didn't install these themselves. Frankly the quality blew me away between the immaculate Tig to the amazing running smoothing, quality gaskets and materials. I purchased the Headers with the in house HFC's, Alldata shows 2-2.5 for the right side and 3-3.5 for the left as the steering shaft and coolant passage tube has to be removed. My 370 has low mileage so nothing really put up a fight. I was able to complete both last night (4-15-17) by myself in about 3.5-3.7 hours. Some reworking of the Stillen Exhaust was required to match the cat flanges up properly, naturally everything will need to be tweaked a little when changing all these components, nothing fits exactly perfect when brands are different. I had to swap a couple of the rearward manifold studs so they were in the correct position. Trickiest part is putting the left header in, do it with the 2 rearward studs out and make sure to remove the white plastic steering shaft extension stop so that the shaft can be properly pushed all the way up to the body as its a slip joint. I had to disconnect my A/C lines from the compressor as well to get to the very burried 10mm's that hold the coolant tube to the block Frankly it's not a difficult modification with proper tools and a lift, but don't bother if you have any doubt. All in all I love the setup, but I want some resonators for sure.
