OEM Main Timing Chain Tensioner found on multiple Nissan & Infiniti models equipped with VQ Engines; including VQ35DE, VQ35HR and VQ37VHR.
This tensioner mounts adjacent to the long vertical chain guide on the passenger side of the timing assembly.

Beautiful factory replacement! Took care of my chain rattle on start up.
(‘06 350Z Rev-Up 135,000 miles +/-)
Take your time and follow directions… watch a few videos and don’t forget the torque specs… let the sealant dry for 24 hours after buttoning up so it doesn’t seep/leak.

Direct OEM replacement for the tensioner. Engine started making a louder than normal noise a while back and continued to get louder. Sounded like a slight wobble noise like a bearing was going bad. Also would have a surge and reduction in power when I stepped on the gas. Replaced this over a couple of days since I would work on in after work and it was fairly easy to do. Now the engine sound is smooth again and the power delivery is alot more steady and consistent although not back to new. Still have other things to check. 140K 2003 G35 Coupe 6 Spd

A must have if you’re replacing your water pump. You have to take the old one out anyways, might as well have a pre compressed one to slap back in there.
