Product Description
These Nissan VQ35DE Oil Galley Gaskets are mounted beneath the timing cover on your 2003-2006 Nissan 350Z (Z33) and Infiniti G35 (V35) equipped with a VQ35DE powertrain. When these gaskets fail and begin to seep, oil pressure may drop resulting in potential catastrophic engine failure. If you are seeing low oil pressure symptoms, such as low readings on the gauge. Z1 does not recommend running the engine until you have this checked, to minimize the risk of engine damage.
There are two oil gallery gaskets on the rear timing cover of your VQ35DE. When one fails it is always recommended to replace BOTH gaskets to ensure that the issue is resolved, as this is a fairly labor-intensive job to complete and can be costly if it has to be re-done. These gaskets are commonly referred to as 'small' (lower) and 'large' (upper.) This set includes both upper and lower gaskets.
NOTE: These Oil Gallery Gaskets are intended to be used on RWD and AWD models. The FWD VQ35DE-equipped models require a different set of gallery gaskets and cannot use this set.
OEM oil gallery gaskets can not be purchased separately from the timing covers. Fortunately, these gaskets are available here! Made from a high-temperature oil-resistant Syntheseal gasket material, designed to exceed even Nissan's specifications!

These tiny little gaskets saved my engine. I was getting low oil pressure at stop lights. When doing a timing chain and water pump replacement don't forget to change these gaskets. These gaskets won't come with your timing kit.

Installed a vacuum gauge to monitor it because when these fail you'll see a drop in vacuum pressure. Well it has been 2 years and no failures! These are truly better than the OEM that has a history of failure. I've never heard of the Z1 Gallery Gaskets failing and for good reason, they are SOLID. If you taking the front engine cover off and have access to the galley gasket, definitely go ahead and replace them with these! Save yourself a potential future problem.

Used these on multiple cars with no issues. If you're ever doing some engine work or timing work or just have the engine out, do yourself a favor and replace the gallery gaskets.
