The Works Bell Rapfix GTC Hybrid is a combination between the race-only GTC-R and the standard GTC. It was designed specifically for competition use and provides the driver with the ability to enter and exit the vehicle without having to remove the steering wheel. By tilting the steering wheel, the Rapfix GTC allows you to get in and out of the car smoothly when equipped with a bucket seat or sport type seat. It also makes it easier to work around dashboards and foot pedals that were previously out of reach.
The tilt steering system uses a ball lock design (patented). The application of Rapfix's unique patented technology enables smooth coupling and reduction of rattling by using balls for coupling of convex and concave shapes. As with the original Rapfix quick release, we have focused on the safety and reliability of the systems parts providing you with the highest quality tilt system available.
Pull the large lever on the newly designed GTC-Hybrid and the steering wheel can be tilted up and out of the way of the driver. The GTC-Hybrid can be suspended at any angle without falling back into its lock and can be tilted back down without the need to pull any release, this speeds up driver changes if being used in a competition environment where driver changes are frequent. The patented ball lock system established in the original Rapfix maintains smooth hinge operation and locking without play. As a result there is no rattling or excessive movement in the hinge.
The Rapfix GTC Hybrid is pre-machined with both 6-bolt pattern mounting holes to suit both Momo bolt pattern and Nardi bolt pattern steering wheels.
