OEM Infiniti Q60 Coupe Carbon Fiber Rear Bumper Protector

Local Infiniti dealer found it surprisingly difficult to install. They said they worked on it for more than three hours and could not get the vinyl decal to lay exactly where they wanted. They wound up waving the installation labour charges, because they damaged the decal (minor scratches) during the install. Dealer said that they have installed dozens of these and have never had a problem before. They suggested that the vinyl decal itself may have been manufactured in 2016 and was therefore getting too old to form/adhere to the bumper the way they wanted to. There was even some speculation re. the possibility that the part could have been non-OEM (counterfeit). The Infinity Service department manager was apologetic, but would not replace the decal with a new one because I did not purchase the original one from them. Not sure I would buy this part again.
