IMPROVED HEAT DISSIPATION
All SuperQ units have improved heat dissipation over standard LSD's. With special internal surface treatments the new SuperQ LSD offer's significant drop in operating temperatures when compared to standard metal type LSD's.
LONGER WEAR LIFE
Typically overhauls are recommended for race cars frequently however the SuperQ L.S.D. has a typical longer life-wear than standard mechanical L.S.D's. If changing differential oil responsibly the new SuperQ units have a average extended 20-50% more life expectancy! NO BREAK-IN PROCEDURES
No need to break in your unit after installation! Another key feature for those whom install and work from home. SuperQ units have special treated clutch plates which feature smooth hardened clutch plate surfaces which require no break-in procedures!
MODIFIED ADJUSTABILITY AND SETUP
As standard to all KAAZ Limited Slip Differentials you can adjust locking raties to your desired spec. The SuperQ units carry same revolutionary adjustment setting options that come standard on most KAAZ Limited Slip Differentials! Optional parts are available as well, you can purchase thicker cone-springs and clutch plates to adjust initial torque specs.
Limited Slip Differential Configuration Types:
KAAZ produces two configuration types commonly classified as 1.5 way or a 2 way. This designation reflects the design of the cam groove which enables the LSD to function differently under acceleration/deceleration loads. The 2 way is constructed in a way to have positive lock motion in both acceleration and deceleration mode, the 1.5 way functions similar to a 2 way under acceleration however provides less lock-up when decelerating. The 1.5 way may provide more forgiving balance depending on vehicle setup and driver skill when braking is compared to a 2 way setup. For Front Wheel Drive vehicles the 1.5 way is also very effective providing extra stability during braking.
1.5 Way
Typically the 1.5 way differential is suitable for all types of motorsports driving. With optimized performance during acceleration it carries a lighter lockup on deceleration which is best suited for traditional road racers. Despite the fact that 1.5 way units have slighter lock up on deceleration, many users may still use this cam type for aggressive motorsports such like drifting or low gear auto crossing & gymkhana.
2.0 Way
The 2.0 way is beneficial for high speed tracks and drifting. During R&D the more aggressive drivers preferred the 2 way over the 1.5 way L.S.D. due to better stability during high speed cornering. The 2 way L.S.D. provides great control during late-breaking scenarios where the vehicle is actually slowed down during the apex rather then traditional braking which is applied before entering or during the apex. For drifting the 2 way is most beneficial for shift locking and very aggressive transitions. The 2 way lsd is designed to keep the rear in sideways motion even during shifting. Most commonly users have preferred the 2 way L.S.D. over the 1.5 way for drifting.
When replacing your differential we highly recommend putting in new Differential Bearings and Seals!
