This gives the shifter of a more solid feel, when wiggling in neutral it feels stiffer, I had to look up how to put this on bought I was thinking they were around the shifter turned out it was on the top sides of the transmission I think it was a 36mm low profile socket I had to buy to get to these

These shifter springs do exactly what they say they do, they remove some of the slop in your shifter to bring it back center. They also do something not advertised — they test your mental, spiritual and fingertip endurance. Removing the 22mm plug is a breeze, however, attempting to apply the correct perpendicular pressure to the 22mm plug whilst turning it to start the threads to replace the plug is challenging. Think Uma Thurman buried alive and using her fingertips to punch through a pin coffin challenging. Also, do not assume you can tackle this job with a crescent adjustable wrench — simply not possible. Instead, search for the DURATECH Extra Long Ratcheting Wrench Set that includes the 22mm wrench. The extra length will get you past the counterweight on the driver's side.

I installed these springs along with a short shifter and what a difference. My stock shifter was getting floppy and hitting a bump in the road you could see the shifter jiggling back and forth. These springs keep the shifter in place and makes the shifts snappy, short and crisp. Definitely an overlooked modification that I think many people would enjoy. A little bit tricky to install but only took me about 45 minutes. If you are installing a short shifter get these springs too since you'll have everything apart anyway.

This make the shifter travel sideways as if the car was new. Not too much of a change on a cd9, but still feels better.

Step 1: Get the B&M shifter. Step 2: Install these at the same time you upgrade to the Z1 transmission mount since they are in the same area. These are a nice complement to the B&M shift kit. They help your shifter spring back to center from left and right so that it is quicker and easier to get the right gear. Don't make it your first mod, but definitely worth doing if you have a shift kit and are planning to upgrade the transmission mount.

This item will make shifting so much better the feedback and tension is amazing compared to the old springs. If your a person who has issues finding 3 or 5th these springs will fix that issue lines you right up. Just canyon tested these beast and got to say PERFECT.

Great product and high quality. Somewhat difficult to install due to location of access points. With poly motor and transmission mounts, these offer only a slight characteristic change in shifter feel. Side to side movement is a little stiffer, mainly when pulling to the left, while the right is almost still stock feeling. Gears have been easier to grab when shifting quickly, especially from 1st to 2nd.

Wow, simply amazing how much these springs changed the character of this transmission. Spring resistance is just right, if you feel the snifter is a little mushy or soft, drop in a set of these springs. Also, I paired these springs with a twmperformance short shift kit. Wow, short crisp throws, great spring resistance making every shift a joy. Couldn't be happier.
