Product Description
Red Line Gear Oils and Transmission Lubricants are designed to provide excellent low-temperature shiftability and improved gear protection at higher temperatures. Red Line Gear Oils will reduce differential temperatures 10-70F. Efficiency improvements between 1-5% are typical.
The synthetic base stocks used have tremendous thermal stability and provide the best film strength available. The unique combination of base stocks and additives allow Red Line gear and transmission oils to carry higher loads compared to petroleum lubricants. The stability of these products allow them to be used for extended periods.
Red Line MT-85 is a GL-4 gear oil, safe for brass synchros as it lacks the reactive sulfurs found in most GL-5 oils that cause damage. This is the oil of choice for 300ZX, 350Z, 370Z, G35, G37, and other Nissan manual transmissions.
- Recommended for Nissan 350Z and 370Z (also most Maxima, Altima & Sentra),

How many quarts are needed for 2005 350z?
3 Qts for any 350Z or G35.
How many quarts are needed for 300zx TT (MT)?
For standard drain and fill service you will need 3 bottles, you should have a little left.

This oil does miracles! My car used to have issues going into 3rd and 5th without grinding. Within 50 miles of using this amazing oil I noticed a very big difference, my 3rd gear grind is pretty much gone and my 5th gear grind is wayy better, I feel way safer now that I know my transmission has a better bill of life. 10/10 recommend

Just changed out the fluid recently during CSC elimination kit install. I think it would be good to also offer a fluid transfer pump as an also purchased item to make it a one stop shopping experience.

Before using this in my 350z, getting into first was really difficult without jamming it in. It would take either rolling forward a foot or two or just going into a different gear then back into first. Now it feels like a new transmission with perfect syncros. Literally butter. Feels so good to not put pressure on the gears just trying to shift normally. Worth it 100%

I didn't buy this through Z1 but I swapped from the Motul because of poor shifting. I won't use anything but this in the Z now. It was immediately better, especially when cold when compared to the Motul.
