A used open differential is probably the most useless, undesirable component removed from a Nissan Z or Infiniti G during performance upgrades, and we have a ton of them. During our weekly meeting we sat down and thought..."Hmmm...how can we get rid of these open differentials while providing something that the community wants?"
Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought... "Man I wish my car was like a go-cart."? Well this is way easier than strapping a 6hp Briggs & Stratton to the back.
We all like doing the sik skids, sliding around parking lots and drift tracks like a bunch of heckin hooligans. Not all of us can afford (or even need) a high dollar Limited Slip Differential, making this perhaps the most economical upgrade to your driftastic weekend warrior. These differentials aren't just welded together, but have gusset plates welded inside both sides of the spider gears. This ensures that the differential will stay locked like a murderers prison cell.
Replacing your worn out VLSD or open differential with an awesome welded differential is the perfect opportunity to upgrade your Final Drive to a more suited ratio for your driving style.
NOTE: It is highly recommended that you purchase a new Differential Bearing and Seal Kit as used differentials typically do not include usable side bearings. We do not recommend reusing any seals or bearings when servicing the differential.

Right now i have a vlsd and i want to convert it into a welded other then this what else would i need?
Why are the base stubs needed? Is there a reason why the stock vlsd axles won’t work?
