Z1 Twin Turbo 300ZX driveshafts built to the same high standards with the same quality components in our Platinum Series driveshafts but feature a machined aluminum rear coupler in place of the OEM style CV knuckle.  Using this solid aluminum coupler allows for reduced cost and doesn't require a core charge for purchase.  However the stock TT driveshaft ends can be returned to Z1 for credit through our core credit program

Is there any difference in vibration between this and the more expensive DS? And will the aluminum handle 450+ HP?

Response: No discernible difference from the driver seat in vibration. It will handle power well beyond this without any issue.

Besides cost, is there any benefit or detriment with using the solid coupler as opposed to the stock cv joint?

Response: The conventional argument is that the CV joint makes less vibration in the instance the driveshaft encounters offset positioning. To be completely honest though none of us (here at Z1) could tell from the drivers seat if one was the cv joint or the solid rear coupler.
