We produce our driveshafts for every combination of 300ZX (Z32) and driveline components. Price depends on the type of rear differential in the car and transmission used.
These specialty shafts are made for those who have done powerplant, transmission, or rear end conversions on there Z32s resulting in a combination of components that the cars were not sold with.
Z1 Platinum one piece driveshafts are designed and built to the highest standards to provide the smoothest ride available from a 1-piece unit. The Platinum Driveshaft also has a benefical weight loss versus the 30lb+ stock driveshaft. These shafts weigh an average of 10-14 lbs less than stock. The shafts are constructed of .065" wall tempered steel and are clear coated to protect against rust and road grime. The tubing used in these driveshafts was specifically designed by Spicer for use in driveshaft assemblies. Quality Spicer yokes, U-joints, and hardware are also used.
The TH400 Transmission as an option below only applies to those who have swapped the Chevrolet TH400 Automatic Transmission into their Z for drag racing purposes. This option is only intended to be used with the VG application and does NOT support GM engine swaps. Most will not need this option.
For more weight savings we also offer our driveshafts constructed from aluminum tubing at an additional cost as an option below. Aluminum driveshafts are custom made per order and are not in stock.
Platinum Driveshafts equipped with the CV joint on the rear end that mate to the R230 (TT) rear differential include a $100 refundable core charge. If you select the Rear CV Joint option you must also select the core charge option as well, whether it be sending core first or paying the $100 core charge.
