Product Description
The Z1 Performance Clutch Kit is our recommended clutch solution for all Naturally Aspirated and moderately boosted 370Z's or G37's.
All of our Z1 Clutch Kits come complete with pilot bushing and alignment tool in addition to the pressure plate and friction disc. The pressure plate in this kit exceeds OEM specifications with slightly higher clamping force resulting in very little change in pedal feel. The standard full faced friction disc is made with an upgraded organic metallic material that will provide good wear and great engagement. Lightweight unsprung solid hub full face discs are also available for you road racers. For increased torque capacity a sprung hub six puck disc is available as an option below. As with any puck style friction disc, engagement will become more aggressive due to higher coefficient of friction of the pucks grabbing more and slipping less than an organic metallic full faced disc. Overall this clutch will hold up to engines producing 500 ft/lbs of torque or less. Longevity of this clutch will ultimately depend on driving style.

How much clearance does the slave cylinder have on the pressure plate have? I've tried two different pressure plates and there's maybe a millimeter of clearance on the splines and the bearing. Is that normal?
It is normal to actually have close or some slight contact with the hydraulic csc and the pressure plate. If using the csc elimination we recommend setup with clearance of .5-1.0 mm between the bearings and the pressure plate spring.

Great clutch, engagement is very nice and smooth, I got the full face sprung clutch and can safely say if feels smoother than my old JWT clutch. Alingment was a little tricky but I was able to get it worked out, Very good clutch nonetheless, pedal feel is very good.

Love the new clutch and pressure plate. I kept my original flywheel to save some money and was looking to keep a quieter idle in neutral. I installed the non-sprung full face clutch. I find the clutch engagement is very crisp and yet smooth. It is a much firmer clutch pedal but that was to be expected.
