Product Description

Z1 Motorsports Urethane Motor Mount Set for all Nissan 370Z, GT-R (R35), Infiniti G37, Q50, & Q60 models.   These 2 motor mounts come fully assembled and ready to install in the same manner as the original mounts.  Expect these motor mounts to outlast your vehicle, however they are serviceable in the unlikely event there is ever a need to replace the urethane bushings. 

Designed to fill the need for a quality, affordable, upgraded motor mount, the Z1 Motorsports Urethane Motor Mounts address the failures of OEM Nissan Motor Mounts while offering many appealing advantages. The original OEM Nissan mounts often fail because the rubber bushing is subjected to tension eventually tearing it apart.  The rubber bushings in the Z1 motor mounts always work in compression, never in tension, eliminating this mode of failure.  Designed in SolidWorks, tested extensively on the street and track and assembled in house, the Z1 Motorsports Urethane Motor Mounts will be the last set of motor mounts your Z will ever need!

Hello, I recently bought your urethane motor mounts for my 370z. I'm just curious on how you adjust the height on the mounts i noticed there was an allen head located on the side of the mount. is this the spot where height adjustment are made? thanks, Jeremy
Jeremy, The allen screw is just a set screw to help hold the support plate (internal) in position during assembly. It is really not needed once assembled. To make the adjustment you will need a couple different spanner wrenches. The bolt inside the top of the mount will need to be held and then the lower plate will need to be unscrewed and the lower bushing removed. Once you are to that point you can adjust the depth of the center support plate to change the height (shown in grey in the rendering) then reassemble to complete the process.

Poly diff bushing added absolutely no NVH, but I was still getting an occasional clunk on shifts (auto). So I tried these and a poly trans mount at the same time. Wow, no more clunks, but man, is it ROUGH at idle! Feels like the car'll rattle apart. I can't tell for sure it's the trans mount and not the engine mounts, but I had stiffer engine mounts in a different car before, and it wasn't this bad, so I'm saying these are 5 stars and 4 stars for the trans mount.

Much better than the OEM motor mounts. Very durable and high quality. Height adjustment very useful with subframe or drive line mods such as steering rack relocation. Much easier to adapt to custom motor swaps as well.

I did the poly trans mount and the poly diff... However none of them compared to the motor mounts in terms of improvement that is noticeable... I'm at 114k miles And the shifter would move when I taped the throttle on occasion ..... But now there is no movement that driveline feels tight

Fantastic product! Shaving off a few pounds never hurt, well with the Z-1 transmission mount. Quicker support and response when you step on it. A bit more cabin noise, however the sound system takes care of that.

The feel of the car is greatly enhanced by this mod, about as much as sway bars can improve the handling feel. Each crank from the starter motor is pronounced and the engine's roar on startup is visceral. The front of the car is a lot stiffer as the engine is made slightly more integral to structural rigidity. NVH is noticeable but personally easy to get used to. Install is not so bad with a jack, a spotting friend, and a block of wood on the oil pan, but the bigger headache is the removal of the OEM mounts that are much more bulky and can be tedious to maneuver out of the maze of hoses. BIG NOTE that a specific NVH instance will sometimes be experienced for automatic transmissions anywhere between 500-800rpm when idling in park, neutral, or drive, and all of the time in reverse. This instance can be described as a vibration frequency that can be felt throughout the entire car, most notably when your head is against the headrest, and is enough to blur your vision if pressed hard enough against it. If you've got anything loose enough to rattle in, on, or under your car, it probably will. Personally, anything that rattles needs attention or can usually be easily fixed, and if you can posture against the vibrations at idle, you're going to love your car with this mod.

I have these installed together with my transmission mount, everything is perfect, except there is slight/noticeable NVH, however, it is not deal breaker and I highly recommend these mounts for the Z, specially if you track with your car.

These motor mounts are great! Slight increase in cabin noise compared to stock but the car shifts (6mt) a lot smoother, especially 1-2 redline shifts and 3-2 downshifts. I had solid motor mounts before this and the resonance and rattles in the interior were very annoying. These urethane mounts gave me all the performance that solid mounts did, but without all the unwanted rattles and droning. YMMV, I’m running motordyne catback with artpipes and also have a 12lb flywheel.

I think this is the first mod you have to do to your Zs. Complement this with the Z1 transmission mount and you will feel amazing response. Really recommend installing transmission and diff mount as well.

I'm glad I upgraded to these. I could feel a difference in how the car drove right after I installed them. The take off seems sturdier and smoother is how I can best describe it. These also free up space for working on your car, since they are nit as bulky as the factory ones.

As described, nvh does increase a little. A little more as time goes on, but only obvious at idle, and in gear(at). Neutral, doesn't really vibrate that bad. Almost necessary with my setup as is have researched, which is an awd with aftermarket headers. Easy install as well. More direct engine response.

Bought as a backup, no need to fit them with trans mount and rear subframe collars. The sloppiness is already way better so the increase in NVH that these may create outweighs the need for me to further stiffen the driveline

Had issues with DAS disconnect on hard right turns after a header install. Found the stock motor mounts were letting the header hit the steering shaft. These mounts gave me the rigidity and clearance and no more DAS issues! These were a game changer and a safety improvement. Very easy and straight forward to install, had to remove the oil filter to pull the stock mounts out. I'm very pleased with this product. Vibration in the cabin is noticeable but not like solid mounts.

I gave this five stars, totally worth it in combination with the urethane transmission mount. Does increase the NVH, but totally worth it for the seat of the pants connectedness to the engine. The install is exceptionally difficult for the top fastener with stock headers. I used about every combo of extensions, universal joints, and such possible. It is possible to get the top torqued correctly. Bottom fastener is a breeze.

Wow what a difference, i used to feel pressing on the accelerator was like a second before I started moving forward but now it's a direct go right now feeling you will love it, I did the trans mount at the same time to and also have Z1 diff Bushings and the Z1 subframe inserts, U feel a bit of vibration at idle and when driving if you have a bigger exhaust it sounds mean as Fu*k it the cabin it gives it a deeper note

Boy what a difference these make! It's nice not having to wait on those worn out stock mounts to finish twisting before you start putting the power down. Not a bad install once I figured out how to get around all the hoses on the driver side on my 08 G35x. I wish I would have done this sooner!

LOVE THESE! Had a header clearance issue on my x. This allowed me to adjust things and miss what I had been scraping on. If not for these mounts I’d be having to change headers again. I didn’t even buy these with intention of solving that issue. That was just a plus. Last longer and is lighter what’s not to love?!?

Ahem,,,,OK fellas first things first my car has a lot of miles on it, so when i upgraded my Y pipe i realized that the was plenty torsional movement from motor. that's when i decided to get these mounts, I figured why replace it with factory makes no sense,anyway here are the steps for motor in car install: No 1 Lift car preferably with a lift/ remove cover completly. No 2 Remove front wheels. No 3 Remove intakes/filter box, mainly the driver side. No 4 Using a six point 1/4 inch ratchet and 14mm socket, finesse ratchet carefully between the A/C lines(Florida heat no fun) once socket is in place and positioned away form frame put a short wrench(Ring) over the end/handle of ratchet (little island trick for leverage), from there all muscle. Figured the tool setup after two cups of Hennessy and a Heineken and some cussing. No 5 Raise vehicle using a 14 mm wrench go through the gap between the sub-frame behind the alternator facing the rear of he car pull that sucker once loose remove by hand, from there remove lower bolts 17mm deep socket. No 6 Using a transmission jack and a block of thick wood support motor under oil pan and slowly raise motor of mounts it will go up enough just take your time, remove OE mounts and slide in the Z1s DO NOT FORGET THE LOCTITE. No 7 Lower engine back onto mounts and bolt them up. Instant gratification well worth the mission and vibration is minimal something I'll gladly trade for no more twisting of the motor ,loosing power and if you plan to upgrade the engine for more power its ready for it going to do the Z1 transmission mount and subframe inserts next up on the list. cheers and Good luck .
