
The Z1 X-Pro Suspension System combines X-Pro front coilovers and matching rear shocks into a fully engineered, extended-travel suspension solution. Designed, developed, and dyno-validated in-house, this system was built with a clear objective: deliver serious off-road performance and composed on-road drivability.
Rather than tuning components in isolation, the X-Pro system was developed as a matched package. Damping characteristics, piston sizing, and stroke length were selected to ensure front-to-rear balance under acceleration, braking, cornering, and sustained off-road cycling.
X-Pro Damping Strategy
Both front and rear dampers utilize a carefully engineered, mildly digressive valve profile. This approach increases the damping force at low shaft speeds to control body motion such as roll, dive, and squat, while allowing greater fluid flow at higher shaft speeds to absorb impacts and terrain irregularities, making the ride both compliant and predictable.
The result is a suspension system that feels planted and composed on pavement, yet compliant and controlled in demanding off-road environments.
Extended Travel Architecture
The X-Pro system is designed as an extended travel solution for its application. With shock stroke maximized within the limits of the factory suspension geometry, the dampers provide increased wheel travel compared to standard alternatives. The additional articulation improves traction and terrain conformity while maintaining predictable damping behavior throughout the full compression and rebound range.
Front ride height is adjustable from 2” to 3” of lift, allowing users to tailor stance and suspension geometry. Adjustable preload and available spring rates of 500 lb/in or 600 lb/in allow further tuning based on vehicle weight, intended use, and load requirements.
X-Pros Front Coilovers target 2" of lift out of the box. Due to variance in truck weights and suspension setups, customers may need to adjust preload to achieve desired ride height. Refer to install guide for preload adjustment tips
