Z1's Nissan Frontier Dash Platform is a versatile accessory mount panel designed for mounting items such as cell phones, radios, GPS devices, and more. The panel is installed in the cubby located in the center of the dashboard, keeping items within easy reach when needed but not within the driver's direct line of sight. This setup allows for viewing and accessing items without causing a distraction or impeding the driver's vision. To reinforce the outer panel, a lower panel is attached to the frame below the dash trim. Holes are drilled in the trim, and the outer panel is then bolted through to the lower panel. This makes the panel both rigid and capable of holding larger items.
Attaching items to the panel can be done using one of several methods;
- Placed across the panel, a grid system allows you to use center-locking quarter-turn t-nuts to attach and locate items across the panel. This system greatly expands mounting capabilities over panels that only utilize fixed holes.
- Four M4x.07 pem nuts are positioned near the center of the panel towards the rear of the truck. This can be used with the included 90° mount bracket or any accessory that may need a larger surface area.
- Three M6x1.0 pem nuts are placed on the panel, one in the center and one on either side of the rear mounting tabs.
