Nissan ships CVTs half full with transmission fluid, so they recommend purchasing approximately 4qts* of NS-3 Fluid to completely fill the transmission.

* The needed fluid capacity may vary for each CVT depending on fluid level after installation. This transmission uses Nissan's NS-3 CVT Fluid (Sold Separately). Use of a fluid other than the recommended fluid can cause transmission damage. Check your service manual for correct transmission fluid capacity.
