Product Description

OEM brake Master Cylinder found on Nissan 370Zs, Infiniti G37s, and Infiniti Q60s with the Sport Model (Akebono) Brake Package.

The brake master cylinder is responsible for converting the mechanical force from your feet to hydraulic force to compress the brake calipers. When the brake pedal is depressed, brake fluid is forced through the brake lines and compresses the pistons and brake pads to stop the car. Over time, the seals in the brake master cylinder break down and can allow the fluid to pass the seals, resulting in a loss of brake pressure.

Not intended for use on NISMO models.

For drivers looking to increase driver feel and reduce firewall flex, Z1 offers a master cylinder brace that can be used with all OEM brake master cylinders found HERE.

Went for a few spirited rides in my 09 370z Nismo at Branson Z Fest and on the last run I noticed my brake pedal sometimes went all the way down to the floor without engaging the brakes. I had to pump the pedal a few times to get it to catch. It all pointed to a typical symptom of a leak, which after looking at all the lines, connections, and fluid level I could not detect the problem. Was informed that the brake master cylinder may have an internal leak around the seals. I bought this OEM piece and it was a direct replacement piece. Make sure you bench bleed this to avoid any brake line bleeding issues.
