A high-tech racecar with a headliner, the GT-R is as serious a performer as a street car gets, and is most deserving of the quality suspension components of the Ohlins Road & Track system. There is no other aftermarket component like a set of Ohlins, that can radically transform performance to the level the GT-R deserves, making the driver feel like a pro racer no matter where the road leads.
This balanced suspension package provides racetrack performance with street comfort, and features McPherson Struts up front and conventional shocks for the rear. The Struts have a single-bleed adjuster, preload adjuster (approximately 15mm lower than stock), coil spring with model-specific spring rate, and dust cover. Some applications include top mounts.
The Ohlins shocks for the rear suspension each feature a single-bleed adjuster, preload adjuster (approximately 15mm lower than stock), properly rated coil spring, dust cover, and a top mount as applicable. Both front and rear components have Dual-Flow Valves (DFV)and are light weight, corrosion resistant, fully rebuildable for a lifetime of service, and come with a two-year limited warranty.
DFV (Dual Flow Valve) Technology
With DFV, the dual flow valve gives the same characteristics on rebound as it does on compression, thanks the damper fluid having a consistent path of flow in both directions. This means that the wheel and tyre can quickly and effectively resume their important position back on the ground, providing grip and traction. The new Öhlins R&T range uses DFV technology on every single fitment, making it the perfect upgrade for the enthusiast that needs comfort and agility in the one unit.
Because DFV opens more quickly and easily on minor road imperfections, ride comfort is surprisingly supple and more akin to an OEM strut than a coilover set-up. Over undulating surfaces, the compliancy of the R&T units allows the car to crest bumps and pot-holes, whilst still keep stable and in control. Traction is always maintained at its optimum level.
