Product Description

This machined aluminum coolant bleeder fits into the Heater Hose or any 3/4" ID hose in the coolant system. This design allows installation into a straight section of your heater hose for a perfect fit. Simply cut and trim the hose or replace your factory bleeder port (350Z / G35) or union (370Z / G37) and install this bleeder in-line.

Key Features:

Slotted bleeder plug allows air to escape without the need to fully remove the bleeder plug. This helps accurately bleed the cooling system while greatly reducing the amount of wasted coolant. Bleeder plug is a 5mm female hex.
Standard O-Ring Seal: No messy thread sealant needed! The Z1 coolant bleeder uses a standard o-ring so repeated bleedings are a breeze!

Nissan should have made this from factory instead of being cheap with the plastic connector. Mine grenaded @ 120K miles. Z1's part literally saved my engine as not only their connector is MUCH more secure, it makes purging the cooling system of air that much easier! 2013 Infiniti G37x sedan

Must have for any VHR. Didn’t realize my stock one was cracked, and replaced it for fun. Luckily I did because it was fully split but hadn’t shattered yet. 92k miles at time of replacement. Definetely recommend not using hose clamps though, get the spring clamps like stock uses, hose clamps leaked on me and I retrofitted the stock clamps back on

Solid replacement, takes a 5mm hex wrench to loosen/tighten. Pretty easy to bleed as well. After engine cools don’t forget to rinse off the part of the engine that’s below the bleeder.

There was so much discussion about getting one to replace my plastic connector or suffer an unexpected rupture and overheat. My initial thought was don't fix it if it's not broken. Then sure enough, as I flexed my old connecter a little to test it's strength while I was changing my anti-freeze, it broke. Now the new Z1 metal bleeder is in place and I feel much more confident running my engine. It even allowed me to bleed my system from two different locations. I bled the Z1 at a lower position first, then followed up with the radiator bleeder.

Simple Allen key to bleed, would suggest a quick mock-up with the hoses prior to cutting, as you could end up placing the bleeder under the harness, making it difficult to reach said bleeder. I cut some material off of the smaller heater hose (there was excess for both) to get the bleeder closer to the firewall and out under the harness for better access.

2008 G35X sedan. I could smell the coolant, and upon arriving home, immediately began to research. I wasn't surprised when videos led me to Z1 Motorsports. Thing is, most of the parts are for the G35 Coupe, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this would fit the sedan. Purchased the part and clamps on a Friday or Saturday, and literally arrived two days later, right before I had my service appointment. Service techs always compliment my Z1 purchases, and no exception with this one. All I paid for was labor, and got a clean bill for my G35. I'm thrilled to know that my G is ready to rev for a lot longer.

Very nice bit of engine jewelry that will hold up. I realized after installing my Z1 silicone hose kit that the stock bleeder, made of plastic and 18 years old, would probably fail. When, who knows, but the aluminum bleed port and silicone hoses give me confidence that my G35 won't have a coolant leak. Easy install, and super easy to bleed using the 5mm Allen key. I used a small funnel to fill with collant after install and it was perfect--no air, runs great.

Very good piece. Upon replacement, the plastic that’s originally used to house the Q50 was broken up into pieces caused by deterioration causing a coolant leak. Feels good I knowing I don’t have to worry about it anymore

The OE is plastic and will likely break when you need it most. Mine broke when I was flushing and replacing coolant. Bleeding air from the system is necessary and the plastic OE snapped. I would buy this and install BEFORE you begin a coolant change to avoid problems. This one is metal and will last the life of the car.

It’s a great design !!! Takes away a huge flaw in oem design along with the reliability of bleeding a hot cooling system without the plastic bleeder breaking and burning me or whoever is working on thier z or any other car I have found many uses for other cars as well !!

Excellent quality and quick delivery! My OEM bleeder valve was plastic and the head where you screw it out had been stripped and this caused me to not be able to bleed the coolant system which in turn, caused my car to overheat. This is a very good investment because now I don't have to ever worry about replacing this part in the future. I would recommend getting this for your car prior to flushing the coolant!

This bleeder valve is SOOO much easier to open and deal with. I always felt so skeptical about handling the plastic OEM BV. I actually snapped the OEM one when prying the hoses apart, but luckily I was smart enough to order this one ahead of time. Amazing product, would definitely recommend VQ owners to change out their BV. It’s an easy preventative maintenance item to install! (Apart from the difficult process of getting the hoses off)

Replace that cheap stock plastic bleeder with this. Just remember it's aluminum and transfers heat really well (ouch). 350z are hard enough to bleed but this helps a ton.

Great product! Obviously will last much longer because of the construction but it is also much easier to use. The slotted screw makes it much easier to bleed without having to back the screw almost all the way out and risk blowing hot coolant everywhere like the factory one.

I got this for my vintage BMW to help bleed the heater system. It is very well made and designed. Works great. Not inexpensive but worth every penny. Very nice piece.

I installed this along with the coolant by-pass hose kit. Hardest part about job was removing the factory style clamps but after that it was easy. Lol! It works very well and I have used it several times to bleed my system of any air, since I have been flushing my coolant.

Excellent piece of hardware. Mechanically robust, and precision machined with very nice finish. I recommend using this to replace an aged plastic bleeder valve that can brake and cause an on-road breakdown. Also, the ability to crack the bleeder without completely removing the cap is a very useful feature.

So have 2 of these on my 2004 G35. One on the passenger side rear heater hose, and one on the front bypass hose. Both have been on the car for a year or so, and I've run into an issue recently. It seems that once the o-ring becomes brittle/collapsed, the brass plug bottoms out its threads on the housing before the o-ring is compressed enough to completely seal off the port. I quite the coolant leak coming from my rear bleeder, and I was confused as I thought they were well built. Upon closer inspection, I get about 1/4 turn load onto their supplied o-ring before the plug runs out of threads and grounds out on the housing. I replaced the o-rings on both of them with slightly thicker Viton o-rings that I had from Harbor Freight and now no more leaks! This is still a fantastic product, maybe I've run into an anomaly, but something worth keeping in mind if you purchase this item!
