Z1 Low Temperature Thermostat for all Nissan & Infiniti models equipped with the VQ37VHR / HR (Hybrid) powertrains.
The Z1 Low Temperature Thermostat opens up at 76.5º C (169.7º F)*, while the OEM thermostat opens at 82º C (179.6º F). Opening at a lower temperature allows the coolant system to keep the engine temperatures lower.
Some other aftermarket low temperature thermostats may open at lower temperatures, which is great for track cars, but for street cars that are not constantly put under heavy load will never reach proper operating temperatures. The Z1 Low Temp. Thermostat ensures that your street car still reaches proper operating temperatures but still keeps temperatures lower than stock.
* This thermostat may cause your vehicle to throw a CEL for code P0128, which is due to your engine coolant temperature being below the OE thermostat regulating temperature.
