This is the gasket that seals the cylinder heads to the engine block. A common sign of a failed head gasket is finding coolant in the oil and vice versa. Head gaskets are highly recommended to be replaced as the factory service manual recommends. Head gaskets are also prone to fail whenever the engine overheats. We recommend that both the passenger and driver's side head gasket be replaced at the same time.
