The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is bolted to the chassis by being attached to the ECU Mounting Bracket. Over time, the ECU Bracket can develop severe corrosion or, when upgrading an ECU, the bracket can be broken or misplaced. These Nuts secure the ECU to the mounting bracket to ensure it remains in place while the vehicle is in motion.
