Awesome 👌 now I don't have an unnecessary idler pulley!! Great upgrade !!

This is straightforward I feel like they made it alittle harder in regards of getting the pulley off. If u simply take the 4 bolts off of the pulley wheel and take that off u will not have clearance issues like he did in the video. I did have to grind down my spacer a smidge. But simple stuff and no more squeaky

Great upgrade for my 2005 FX-35. Easy to install and was a perfect fit. I couldn't tell while the pulley was on but once off I realized that it had already failed and the bearings were bad.

Resolved an issue while lightening the load in the engine bay. Thrilled with this "addition". A genuine piece of mind

Great kit. Alternator belt was slipping so thought why not get OEM belts and remove a possible fail point. I did have to grind the OEM spacer down and then hammer it in. Overall great buy for the idler delete

Installing it was pretty easy and it got rid of an annoying squeak coming from the deleted pulley.

Purchased this elimination kit and it's held up fine for over 10,000 miles. Great for the DE motor and enables the delete of the extra idler pulley for your alternator/power steering belt.

Had a really bad belt squeal due to the idler pulley. Bought this kit to delete that pulley and it fixed that squeal. Would totally recommend.

Sent me the wrong size belts. The belt they sent me were longer than the stock oem belts. Even the ac belt was longer and nothing was hindered to affect its length.

Installing this kit onto 2005 fx35 v6 was a breeze. Plenty of clearance for the job. It was nice receiving oem belt, but the spacer was a little to thick. Easy fix tho, I put spacer into a vise and hit it lightly with a flap wheel on grinder. Perfect fit afterwards! Other than that I’m noticing easier acceleration and throttle response! The car feels like doing it’s job, is easier now!

Purchased this product. My highly experienced mechanic said that the belts felt dry and old before putting them on. After modding the belt would squeak like never before. Pulleys and belts are perfectly tensioned. Had to buy new belts elsewhere to put on. Sadly, wasted money

As another commenter stated, the spacer is too wide for the slot it’s designed for. I tried HEAVILY lubricating both the spacer and the gap, driving the spacer in with a hammer and bevel, using a lever to physically force the spacer in, and tried prying the gap part to make it wider. No use. It’s just too big. Now I’m going to have to put everything back without the spacer because I have to drive to work tomorrow, making this whole “kit” pointless as I could have just bought the belts elsewhere by themselves.

This delete isn't as simple as you assume. People say it is easy, but i'm assuming its with the engine out of the car. With that being said, you can start with taking the pulleys off. Then unbolting the 4 bolts on the idler pulley itself. Then you're able to get all 3 bolts off from the bracket. Now getting it off, you will have to wiggle it free, it takes a second there's no way to pry it away because there are 2 more bolts on the side of the block that hold that mount in place. Once you got it free you will realize the spacer is a little thicker than the bracket, so what i did was bevel a small piece of the spacer and take a hammer and tap it into place, then centered it with a flat head and needle nose prying it upwards till the bolt aligned. Other than that everything works properly and how it should. Just thought someone would like an honest idea on how much more effort there is, than a simple unbolt and slide in because trust me its not.

The idler pulley elimination kit is a very discrete mod for us who have the stock pulley. Not sure if there\'s any power gains but losing 3 pounds is always great , not to mention one less bearing to go bad. Great to do with your next set of belt. Installation was very easy, the hardest part is getting the car off the ground. Thanks again Z1.
