OEM Belt Tensioner for 2007-2012 Nissan Altima and 2008-2013 Nissan Altima Coupe models equipped with the 2.5L QR25DE engine.
This Tensioner provides the belt with a smooth surface to spin across while maintaining the proper amount of tension. As the bearings in the pulley wear, you may begin to hear a high-pitched squeaking or squealing noise. Over time, this may result in complete bearing failure which can cause the pulley to lock up and snap the belt.

NOTE: Whenever idler or tensioner pulleys are replaced due to failure, it is important to carefully inspect the belt for excessive wear.
