Brand new OEM Belt Tensioner Assembly fits all 2007+ Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 Sedan models equipped with a VQ35HR powertrain.
Located on the front of the motor in your HR, this belt tensioner provides the belt a smooth surface to spin across while providing the proper amount of belt tension. As the bearings in the pulley wear, you may begin to experience a high pitch squeaking or squealing. Over time this may result in complete bearing failure, causing the pulley to lock up and break the belt. In addition, internal springs on the tensioner become loose overtime, in some cases leading to belt slip/squealing.
NOTE: Whenever idler or tensioner pulleys are replaced due to faliure, it is important to carefully inspect the belt for excessive wear. New OEM drive belts can be purchased in their respective links below if necessary.
