Located on the front of the VQ37 in your Nissan / Infiniti, the idler pulley is responsible for guiding and maintaining tension with the drive belt. As the bearings in the pulley wear, you may begin to experience a high pitch squeaking or squealing. Over time this may result in complete bearing failure, causing the pulley to lock up and break the belt.
Includes bolt and washer.
There are THREE idler pulleys on the front of your VQ37VHR. This pulley, identified as the 'smooth' is shown in the parts diagram below.
NOTE: Whenever idler or tensioner pulleys are replaced due to faliure, it is important to carefully inspect the belt for excessive wear. New OEM drive belts can be purchased HERE if necessary.
Pulleys vary by year. Early 2009-2013 use an 10mm bolt while the late 2014+ models use a 8mm bolt. Be sure to select the correct year in the options to the right.
