Product Description
This kit includes all of the basic components needed to service the rear timing cover oil gallery gaskets on your VQ37VHR equipped 370Z or G37.
The oil galley gasket is mounted beneath the timing cover, when this gasket fails and begins to seep oil pressure will drop resulting in potential catastrophic engine failure. If you're seeing low oil pressure symptoms, such as low readings on the gauge, P0011 or P0021 codes, or excessive VTC rattle Z1 does not recommend running the engine until you have this checked, to minimize the risk of engine damage.
In this kit we've opted to include allen head hardware to help ensure torque across the oil gallery cover plates is even.
The gaskets included in this kit are NOT the same flimsy cheap gaskets Nissan originally used on your timing cover. These gaskets are an updated composite steel gasket, far better than any other gasket on the market and the only gaskets we trust on our cars.

I read that any 370z from 2012 and older had plastic/older material gaskets. My water pump went bad so we decided to to change everything upfront( timing chain,pulleys,and water pump). Car runs smoother at low speeds and I have no complaints so far!

Even if you have a low mileage engine you will need this. The OEM bolts get loose over time. Replacement bolts that are included with this are very useful.

Just installed these gaskets definitely looks more reliable than the paper gaskets and the new hardware has good depth for the hex head to prevent stripping. Added medium strength thread locker and torqued them down to 12 ft lbs hopefully good to go.

replaced the oem gallery gasket as preventative maintenance as the 08-2014 vq37vhr oem gallery gaskets are prone to failure at any time. I highly recommend this kit to prevent that.

Quality materials, to fix the issue the original had. My original was blown out, although, I didn't have any symptoms. I was replacing the timing chain anyway, so might as well do it all.

The gasket material is not nearly as important as the torque wrench-compatible hardware that comes with it. Proper and even torque is the key to the bulletproofing of these oil galleries. Don't forget medium-strength thread locker.

Got this kit for my 2011 G37X and swapped the original gaskets for these so to not worry about the design flaw with the original ones. Good time to swap the water pump if needed.

Came with everything needed to change the pain in the butt to get to gallery gaskets. The included fasteners were better than the OEM phillip head ones but felt like they might strip when tightening. Overall good kit and would recommend and use again if needed. Wanted to give 4.5 stars but did not have the option so I gave 4.
