OEM Evaporative (EVAP) Emissions Canister for the R35 GT-R models.

This canister can be found under the rear of the vehicle near the fuel tank. The EVAP Canister is used to control the flow of harmful vapors in the fuel system, and prevent them from being purged back into the atmosphere. Because these canisters are located under the vehicles, they are commonly damaged in rear and side impact collisions and may be damaged from rocks or other road debris. When this canister is damaged, they can result in a check engine light illumination and various associated codes.
