These actuators are subject to wear overtime, prevent remote opening of the hatch after failing, and must be replaced to restore function.

Easy install. My trunk latch actually broke like 3 years ago. This actuator seems to break if you don't have good struts and the hatch slams closed. Anyway super easy install. Wish I did this sooner.

This is a pain of a part to install, especially if the hatch is stuck, closed. But works great after installation. Don't slam the hatch closed, will mess up, internal gears.
