The Purge Valve Assembly is found on the back of the upper intake plenum on VQ35HR and VQ37VHR equipped Nissan and Infiniti models. This valve vent excess fuel vapor to the intake under certain conditions to minimize harmful emissions. When this component fails this often results in poor running conditions, inconsistent idle, CEL illumination, and a variety of other symptoms. Replacement is simple and can be done with basic tools in short time. A good used EVAP solenoid/valve is available at half the cost of new retail!
