When you're in a hard corner, accelerating or decelerating aggressively or experiencing hard g-forces, oil tends to slosh away from the oil pickup tube in the sump causing harmful oil starvation. To prevent this, Tomei has developed a low cost, high quality baffle plate that fits factory RB26 oil pans. The Tomei Baffle Plate prevents oil sloshing, keeping the oil situated around the oil pump pickup. This greatly reduces wear and friction under hard acceleration achieving stable oil lubrication under any conditions.
