OEM seal is installed in the front transmission cover on all 6-speed VQ transmissions, and seals the input shaft on the transmission. Whenever the transmission cover is removed for service it is recommended that this seal is replaced to ensure fluid does not seep into the bellhousing, saturating the clutch with oil.
This seal fits all VQ 6-speeds behind the VQ35DE, VQ35HR, and VQ37VHR.
