Z1's magnetic oil drain plug adds an extra level of engine protection and provides an early alarm to potential future engine problems. Equipped with a neodymium magnet, known to be one of the strongest magnets on the market, is installed in the tip of the plug. Metallic particles resulting from worn steel parts are held against the tip of the plug, allowing you to visualize wear when servicing your engine. The body is machined from 304 stainless steel to provide corrosion resistance, strength, and durability for years of use. An OEM Oil Drain Plug Washer is included with purchase.
Z1 recommends following the factory torque specification when installing your engine drain plug. This is located in the "maintenance" section of your factory service manual. For reference, the torque spec for a VQ40DE is 25 ft-lb.
