Z1's Complete 350Z Supercharger Kit is a bolt-on kit configured to provide you with everything need to make 375-475hp in your Z. This includes the supercharger unit, intercooler, fuel system, and an optional tune to optimize your engine's performance.
The Sport Supercharger Kit utilizes a smaller blower than our C38R-based kit, improving response and drivability in the range of 375-475hp. While this lowers the overhead power capabilities of the kit, it makes for a much more linear power band and a more enjoyable driving experience in this range of power.
THE DESIGN
In 2021, we began developing our Z1 Supercharger Kits to boost power for both street and track use. We chose a supercharger for its consistent, responsive power delivery, but our focus went beyond performance. The goal was a kit that beginners could install easily, with the premium quality expected from high-end hardware. To achieve this, we kept strict standards throughout design and production.
The brackets are precision-machined from 6061 billet aluminum with a black hard-anodized finish. Pulleys are made from 304 stainless steel and billet aluminum, with idler and tensioner pulleys running on dual sealed bearings rated far beyond their needs. These materials ensure long-term resistance to corrosion and engine-bay grime. Socket head bolts sit recessed for a clean look, while mandrel-bent aluminum charge pipes are finished in low-gloss black anodize. Multi-ply reinforced silicone couplers secure the piping for durability. A custom intercooler with brackets is included, offering a true bolt-on solution with no fabrication required.
THE INSTALLATION
The blower comes pre-assembled to the bracket, clocked correctly, and with the drive belt pre-tensioned. Installation only requires removing the front bumper and fender liners. It’s jack-stand friendly with standard hand tools, and no lift is necessary. Modifications are minimal, with OEM items like the washer reservoir and horns only slightly affected. A complete installation guide is included and can be previewed before purchase. The kit also comes with custom fluid reservoirs, hoses, vehicle-specific brackets, and all required hardware.
For customers who have a Z1 Catch Can Kit, a new bracket and hose kit will be needed to relocate the can. These parts are available in the product options.
THE LEVELS
This kit is currently available in two configurations, supporting power levels from 375hp to over 475hp. Each kit is complete with the fuel system configured to support the advertised horsepower. All power levels can be purchased with full Z1 Supercharger Tune, providing expert calibration based on tunes developed for Z1's own cars.
Z1 engine tunes do not disable emissions control systems or the onboard diagnostic (OBD) system. The customer is responsible for ensuring the hardware they are using on their vehicle does not cause a failure to meet emissions standards.
375HP Kit Includes:
This configuration supports up to 375hp on 93-octane fuel. E85 is not supported on this kit.
475hp Kit Includes:
This configuration made 460whp on our test car and supports up to just north of 500hp on E85 ethanol fuel.

THE FUELING
Each power level includes the fueling components needed to support the advertised power.
375hp kits utilize the factory returnless fuel system and include a drop-in AEM 340 pump and Injector Dynamics 1050cc Fuel Injectors, making these two kits the quickest and easiest to install. The 475hp kit includes the same pump and injectors, but adds Z1's Fuel Return System and UpRev MAF GT. The inclusion of a return fuel system supports higher levels of power by improving the fuel supply to the engine. This fuel system also supports Ethanol (E85) fuels, giving you the opportunity to make even more power in custom applications.
THE BLOWER
Rotrex superchargers were chosen for their reputation, quiet operation, and proven reliability. For the Sport Supercharger, Z1 found that the C38-81 headunit offered the greatest balance between linear power delivery and flexible power goals, supporting just north of 500whp in our drift 350Z with supporting modifications. When compared to the C38R, the smaller C38-81 improves underhood clearance, translating to less trimming and better bumper clearance. The lower drive inertia of the smaller blower improves tip-in response, making the car feel more natural when transitioning on and off throttle. When purchased in our complete supercharger kit, this headunit supports multiple power levels with estimated output ranging from 375-475+hp.
"The C38-81 is awesome. It feels progressive and linear, which makes it much easier to drive in partial throttle/load situations. The car even runs a bit cooler compared to the C38R, which is essential when we're driving it hard."

The C38 includes an integrated oil pump that functions as both a dry sump scavenging pump and an oil supply pump. To keep temperatures stable, the kit comes with a 13-row Z1 Pro-Cooler Oil Cooler Core and oil lines. A supercharger oil reservoir and 1L of Rotrex traction fluid are also included with purchase.

Spark plugs wear at a high rate when used with forced induction, so it is important to ensure they are in good working order. When installing your supercharger, Z1 recommends inspecting spark plugs for wear and replacing them if necessary. It is also recommended to reduce spark plug gap to 0.032" during installation.
Features:
- Complete DIY Kit - Jack Stand Friendly!
- Designed in partnership with Rotrex
- Custom Application Specific Intercooler
- Retains All Factory Vehicle Features (Washer fluid reservoir, horn, etc)
- Performs best with filtered intake
- Low Maintenance - 2 Year, 50,000 mile fluid intervals
- Retains original Rotrex Warranty
- Gains up to 225hp over stock
- Upgradable for higher levels of performance
It is highly recommended that a performance oil cooler kit be installed to maintain stable oil temperatures. Even naturally aspirated VQ35's suffer from unusually high oil temperatures when driven hard, and this problem is only exacerbated with forced induction.
