Located along the transmission's bell housing, the external slave cylinder found on B16/B17 Sentra models can fail after years of usage. Over time, the internal seals can dry and wear out causing the clutch pedal to lose pressure. A failure in the Slave Cylinder can result in a loss of the ability to engage the clutch, making gear changes nearly impossible.
