OEM Thermostat for 2005-2010 Infiniti M45 models equipped with the 4.5L (VK45DE) engine and 2011-2015 Infiniti M56/Q70 models equipped with the VK56VD powertrain.
The OEM Coolant Thermostat allows coolant to flow through the engine once it has reached operating temperature. Upon failure, the thermostat will become stuck open or closed. If the thermostat is stuck open the vehicle may not reach operating temperatures, and if it is stuck closed the engine can possibly over heat and damage other components.
