OEM Thermostat for the 2007-2012 Nissan Sentra 2.5L QR25DE models.
The thermostat is responsible for opening and closing depending on the temperature of the engine coolant. Whenever the coolant reaches a certain temperature the thermostat will open allowing coolant to flow to the radiator to cool it down. When the thermostat fails it will either be stuck open or stuck closed. If the thermostat gets stuck closed then it will cause the engine to overheat.
