OEM Coolant Thermostat & Housing for your 2009-2015 Maxima, 2016-2022 Nissan Maxima, 2007-2018 Altima and 2008-2013 Altima Coupe equipped with the VQ35DE powertrain.
The thermostat allows coolant to flow through the engine once it has reached operating temperature (82° C).
Upon failure, the thermostat will become stuck open or closed. If the thermostat is stuck open the vehicle may not reach operating temperatures, and if it is stuck closed the engine can possibly over heat and damage other components.
